Mars Ravelo's Dyesebel is a 2014 Philippine fantasy-drama television series based on a famous graphic novel Dyesebel created by Mars Ravelo. Directed by Don M. Cuaresma and Francis E. Pasion, it is topbilled by Anne Curtis,[1][2] together with an ensemble cast.[3] The series premiered on ABS-CBN and worldwide on The Filipino Channel on March 17, 2014,[4] replacing Honesto. It is the tenth television drama in the Philippinesmade by ABS-CBN filmed in high definition. The story follows the journey of a young mermaid named Dyesebel, as she discovers the world above the ocean and locks in a fierce love triangle.
The story has been adapted into five films and a spin-off, throughout the timeline from 1953 to 1996. Among those who took on the role in the big screen are Edna Luna (1953), Vilma Santos (1973), Alma Moreno (1978), Alice Dixson (1990) [5], and Charlene Gonzales (1996). On the other hand, Marian Rivera played the character in the 2008 TV series of the same name on GMA Network.[6] However, it is the second time where Curtis takes the role of a mermaid, after her lead role as a goddess (who can transform into a mermaid, a harpy, or a centaur) in the 2008 TV series of ABS-CBN, Dyosa

Kambal Sirena or Twin Mermaid (international title) is a Filipino drama series of GMA Network starring Louise delos Reyes in her first dual role with Aljur Abrenica, Mike Tan and Angelika dela Cruz. It began airing last March 10, 2014 replacing Adarna on its network primetime block and worldwide via GMA Pinoy TV on March 11, 2014
